Our Story
Did you ever think a love for something could turn into a business? For Daryl, growing up surrounded by chocolate made it almost inevitable. With a Grandad and Uncle who worked at Cadbury's during his childhood, chocolate has been a part of his life now for three generations!
Some of Daryl's fondest memories are of Fridays at his Nana's house, when his Grandad would arrive home with sacks of broken chocolates—Twirls, Curly Wurlys, Moro bars, and more. Back then, a glass-and-a-half really meant something.
Funny how life turns out. What started as a desire to set up a business with a friend during Covid evolved from an Irish food hamper service into one of Ireland's leading artisan chocolate producers. Today, Buíoch operates a high-end chocolate factory on the banks of the River Liffey in Celbridge, Co. Kildare.
Buíoch was founded to help people express gratitude during a time when they couldn’t be together. Now, we focus on creating indulgent chocolate treats and bespoke branded gifts for clients and teams.
Each piece we make is a chunk of decadent Belgian chocolate, paired with one or two high-quality ingredients for taste. We stick to what we love—delicious, satisfying chocolate. And that’s exactly what we’ll keep doing.
Because at the end of the day, you have to love what you do. And if there’s one thing Daryl definitely loves, it’s chocolate.
